My dad passing, reminded me of something I’ve always known:
 the father who mattered in my life wasn’t the one who shared my DNA… it was the one who chose me.

And yes… we’re finally breaking down that quote everyone thinks means “family over everything”:

“Blood is thicker than water.”

 It hits completely different.
