Not only is John Vlismas funny as hell, but he is intelligent, driven, enthusiastic about live, family and business, but more importantly he wants to teach people what he has learned through his life and his mistakes. John Talks to me about atheism, drugs, and how he has stepped away from stand up comedy and re-invented himself in a totally different career.

John Vlismas is a South African stand-up comedian and entertainment promoter, John won the 2007 South African Comedy Award for best stand-up comedian of the year and was a finalist in the 2008 Yuk Yuk's Great Canadian Laugh Off. In 2010, John was in the comedy film Outrageous with fellow South African comedians, Barry Hilton, Joey Rasdien, Loyiso Gola, Mark Banks, Riaad Moosa, and Krijay Govender - the only female in the cast.

Candice Jane Langford is a Physiotherapist with a special interest in Pelvic Health and wellness and the face behind “nurture your vagina” on Instagram.

New Zealand broadcaster Jed Thian better known as “the Jedi” is recognised as the founder of alternative sports commentary worldwide and one of the funniest humans alive.

I spoke to Jed about life, rugby, Hong Kong and his beautiful Country of New Zealand.

Former Sharks Academy and Maties rugby player Alwyn Uys had dreams of playing fro the Springboks but that dream was shattered in 2014 when he was in a car accident that left him paralysed from the waist down.

Naturally Alwyn went through a very tough time and fell in and out of depression, but this man’s mind is way to strong and he turned this around and today he is one of SA’s best para athletes and motivational speaker, he is currently training for the full Iron Man.

I spoke to the beautiful and wonderful J-Something the lead singer of South African house band MiCasa, we discussed living in the moment and being present, his love for food and his restaurant, and being married to an African Queen as a white guy.

J'Something is originally from Portugal. His real name is Joao da Fonseca. He moved to Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape, South Africa when he was seven years old, and was raised by his mother Maria after his parents separated. Joao completed his bachelor's degree in marketing at Stellenbosch University before moving to Johannesburg, where he was a studio manager at the SoulCandi Studios.

Mo-T's father, Kgasoane Banza, was part of the South African Afropop band Mango Groove.

Dr. Duda is responsible for the music production for the band. He was part of a gospel band at his childhood church since the age of 8, played keyboards. He got his nickname from a FL Studio plug-in called "Duda". He still uses DAW software, amongst others, including Cubase, Sony Acid, Reason, and Ableton Live.

Over the course of the last decade and a half, well known singer and songwriter, Ard, has been honing his craft and moving people the world over. As the front man of South African band Just Jinjer, his indelible lyrics and melody arrangements led the way to the incredible success of their debut album title ‘All Comes Round’, becoming one of the biggest selling rock genre albums of all time in their native country of South Africa, achieving double platinum status in it’s first year, with the follow up album “Something for now” reaching the same status a year later.

Just Jinjer have shared the stage with many iconic local and international artists on many stages across the world. Most notably at the Nelson Mandela 46664 Concert, Johannesburg in 2009 where they performed with the likes of The Goo Goo Dolls, Annie Lennox, Razorlight, Ludacris, Corrinne Bailey Rae, Peter Gabriel, Live, and Angélique Kidjo.

They have also performed support duties, and shared the bill with many international stars such as U2, Counting Crows, Def Leppard, INXS, Maroon 5, One Republic, Hootie and the Blowfish, The Strokes, and many more. On their own Just Jinjer have performed many sold out arena shows across South Africa.

I had a great chat to John Sanei (Sah-nay), John is a best selling author, speaker and trend specialist who combines psychology and strategy to help his global audience find clarity and upgrade their consciousness.

In 2018, he was recognized as GQ Magazine's Most Influential and Connected Man, and was the only African contributor to future Shock at 50, a collection of essays by the worlds top futurists. John is also Africa's first Singularity university faculty member, and a guest lecturer at Duke Corporate University.

Mike Sewell had been in corporate for 16 years when he decided to break free and make a move towards following his passion. The motivation was to live a more interesting life, pursuing interests that really interested him rather than those driven by financial reward or societal acceptance.

The first move was Project Patagonia; an independent and self-organised running expedition through South America. Over 6 weeks, Mike and a mate ran 1,200km through Patagonia, pushing all their gear, food and water in jogging strollers.

Next, Mike joined the Long Road to Comrades project where 6 runners would each attempt to run from Cape Town to Pietermaritzburg in 19 days - and then run the 2018 Comrades ultra-marathon. The equivalent of 20 Comrades in 20 days. Although the original goal was not achieved, Mike clocked 1,090km in 20 days including a bronze medal finish at the Comrades.

Since then, Mike has launched The Running Company with his partner Carla (whom he met on the Long Road to Comrades). The Running Company offers running adventures and events as well as a monthly Adventure Tales evening of inspirational guest speakers and films.

I sat down and spoke to the the three champions from @Hitched.Series (Instagram) Luke, Jordan and Don.

Luke and Jordan are cousins and Don is the "say yes to everything" camera man, together they traveled across 10 African countries and covered 10,000 km in 110 Days to fulfill a childhood dream to search for the world’s largest dinosaur in Congo.

They then decided to hitch hike from Cape Town to Los Angeles but via Africa to get onto the Ellen Degeneres show, they have now reached their final destination of Hollywood, but they have only one weeks of funds over as they wait to hear from Ellen's show, if you know anyone that can help these boys get onto the show please contact me here.
