"I Still Believe... I still believe that the truth of man is held in the hands of Christ. One year ago today, on the day, my Dad returned home to the Lord. Following the passing of my Dad, I was presented with his final episode, as named above. Seeing this, I found it very powerful that he chose to name this episode the way he did, especially since it was the last one he ever recorded. Being that he was a lifelong learner, I knew his passion for the Lord was unwavering, even until his final breath.

From the teachings of our Lord, that were preached by my Dad, a man himself cannot follow a path of righteousness without the vision of the Holy Spirit. A vision of which is gifted to those who are intrinsically driven by their acceptance and belief in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. For he who decrees himself a follower of Christ, can only do so by understanding the mercy and sacrifice of our Lord God. ‘But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you’ (John 14:7 ESV).

"Life is unexpected... that is something you learn as you begin to age, at least I have. People come and people go, time is present and then time passes. Through all the change and through all the ups and downs of what we call life, there is something that will always remain constant, that is Jesus's love for you. You see, he is always with you wherever you go. Contrary to what you might think, he always has a hand on your shoulder guiding you through the paths of life with the intention of bringing you closer to him. It may happen at your best moments or it may happen at your lowest but nonetheless his hand is there. Many people want to find God but don't know where to start, trust me, i've been there. My advice to you is this, pick up the Bible and read a singular verse, just one is all you need (I started with Proverbs.) Start your relationship with God and plant the seeds and he will help them grow, he did for me and it changed my life." - Thomas John Petrecca "TJ"

"Happy Birthday Dad, you would have been 61 today. I'm sure we would have been enjoying this day together as we always have, but i've come to learn that time is a formidable adversary that changes the course of every story in unexpected ways, including our very own. I won't forget the lessons you taught me and will continue to strive to become the best man I can be. I will stand the test of time and outwork any opponent that may come my way, but time... time is something I cannot beat. I will enjoy the moment as you told me to and i'll make the most of what I have in the present because just as you have taught me, it can vanish in an instant. There will come a day where we will meet again and in that moment, we will have a lot of catching up to do; but until that day comes, I know I have a job to see through, and that Dad, is to reach the top. "Losing your father can make you change as a man, in fact it forces you to transition from boyhood into manhood. Many take for granted how much their father loves them, but it's only when you look back in hindsight that you realize how much he sacrificed to protect you and your well being. I know not everybody has an amicable relationship with their father but if you're going through a rough patch right now my advice to you is this, do not become angry or critical of him for it may result in a severed relationship and wasted time... time is something that we cannot get back.

May you rest in peace Dad, I will forever miss the late night talks and the advice that you gave me in my most trying times, we were there for each other when we needed it most and i'm so glad we had the relationship that we did. I am determined to make you proud and will stop at nothing to become the best man I can be. One day we will meet again and watch the ocean waves crash once more.
