Pastor Drew shares some great reminders with us.  He starts out in Matthew 16:24.  A disciple is someone who follows Jesus, is becoming like Jesus, and helps others follow Jesus.  Being a disciple of Jesus means learning to trust His character even when you don't understand His plan.  The text is Mark 4: 35-41.  Pastor Drew shares with us that:  trusting Jesus means being vulnerable with Him, trusting Jesus rests in His goodness when life is not good, and trusting Jesus surrenders control of the outcome.  We hope you are encouraged this week in your walk with Jesus.

This week Pastor Drew is starting a new series on discipleship called "Follow Me".  LifeHouse exists to glorify God and make disciples.  Pastor Drew teaches us that a disciple is someone who follows Jesus, is becoming like Jesus, and helps others follow Jesus.  Following Jesus means saying yes to His call and surrendering to his leadership.  Good things become idols when we cannot release them to follow and obey Jesus.  Following Jesus means allowing Him to form you.  We hope you are encouraged by this week's message.

Join us for week 3 of our "Advance" series.  This message comes from 2 Chronicles 20 and Philippians 4. From the story of King Jehoshaphat we learn that when we don't know what to do we must:  trust God, give it to God, and worship your way forward.  We hope you are encouraged in your walk with Jesus this week.

Our word for the year has been "FORWARD".  Pastor Drew shares an encouraging word building on the word "FORWARD" and calls this series "ADVANCE" leading us into our time of prayer and fasting.  Pastor Drew shares from Galatians 6:9 encouraging us to not give up, we only lose if we quit, and we don't get tired from doing nothing, we get tired from doing good.  We hope you are encouraged this week in your walk with Jesus.
