James Cooper 1:11Hello, and welcome to Day 18 of the 2009 Lifespring my Christmas show. Well, yesterday Steve told you a bit about some Christmas food in that Christmas pudding and I thought I'd continue with that today with a couple more bits of festive fare. Well, you might or might not have had some mince pies yet. Unlike Christmas pudding and their name, they originally filled with minced lamb rather than the dried fruit mix as they are today. And they were also first made in oval shape to represent Jesus's manger. And often they had little pastry Jesus put on the top. I'm rather partial to a hot mince pie with some ice cream. A custom from the Middle Ages said that if you eat a mince pie on every day from Christmas to 12th Night,
