In this episode, our three lovely hosts take on the common woes of Darktober, aka teaching during October, aka arguably the hardest month of the school year. During this conversation we discuss the reasons why October takes such a toll on schools, common trends that we're seeing in schools across our regions, and things we can do to lighten up the tension of Darktober.

  • LDOE names East Feliciana Schools summer learning program as one of LA's "Models of Excellence"
  • LDOE Creates the Parent Choice Quarantine Option for all schools to include in their quarantine determination process  - If a school decides to implement the parent choice option, mandatory quarantines for students defined as close contact will no longer be required. Parents, however, will have the option.  
  • October is Bullying Prevention Month 
  •  resources for how to get involved and bring bullying prevention programing to your schools / campuses
