I have been lucky enough to have two life changing guide dogs. I recently finished training with my second one Baloo and thought that now would be a great time to share how guide dogs have impacted my life.

“For all you know, what you are going through now will only bring you to a better place”
Jillian Best has over come a lot. Living with a rare genetic condition called HHT meant that she needed to receive a liver transplant in her mid-twenty’s. She went from living a fairly normal life to being very sick and not knowing if she would receive a transplant in time. In this episode we talk about overcoming challenges, grieving a personal loss and focusing on what you can control. Remember to subscribe so that you don’t miss the second half of my interview with Jillian where she shares what she is doing to make a difference for people waiting for transplants.

The COVID19 Pandemic has created a challenging job market. Many have lost their jobs and new graduates are finding it harder then ever to find their first jobs. If you’ve been listening for a while you know that many of my guests have shared that work can be a significant source of light in life. So I thought I would invite one of my professors from Wilfrid Laurier University who is a job negotiation expert to share some advice about job search and negotiating job offers. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Dr. Steve Risavy.
