By February 2021, the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act (RA) 11229 or the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act will take into effect. With this, the Philippines will become fully compliant with the standards in addressing the five risk factors in road safety, namely speeding, drunk-driving, motorcycle helmet and seatbelt use, and the use of child restraint systems.
