Like, Love, and Lust, we often use these words synonymously and incorrectly. But worse than that, we are often confused about the way we feel and the words we use to describe those feelings. We sometimes think that we love what we really like or lust for and sometimes we lust for things that we don’t even like.
It is important to understand the meanings and the feelings behind each word. It’s the first step in eliminating the confusion and allowing love to grow. Like and Lust are quick, but Love takes time. Give it all the time it needs.
Like is about attraction, Love is about appreciation, and Lust is about obsession.
The opposite of Like is Dislike, the opposite of Lust is Hate, and the opposite of Love is Apathy.
If you LIKE a flower, you pluck it out of the ground.
If you LOVE a flower, you nurture and care for it.
And if you LUST for a flower, you contemplate breaking the rules to obtain it
These feelings are not limited to flowers. We feel the same way towards people, our careers, and our other desires.
B – Beautiful Bride, the one we choose
A – Acquaintances, friends, and family
C – Children, the best of us
O – Our Occupation, job, and career
N – Necessities, things, and stuff
Understanding the difference and controlling these feelings will help you create more fulfilling relationships, a rewarding career, and a happier life!
