There was no reason for Jesus to get involved at this wedding he and his new disciples were invited to, last minute. The only reason it seems that he got involved was because his mother stepped in and involved him. Yet, when Jesus goes into action all of the action belongs to him and his glory and his love is revealed in it.

As disciples of Jesus Christ we have to look at this situation and realize that there is never a situation in our lives, big or small, where we cannot involve Jesus. In fact, He wants to be involved in every part, in our sleeping, our waking, our going out, and our coming in. The question is, when he gives us commands will we obey?

There seems to be an amazing benefit in scripture to obeying God without hesitation. Usually, if we actually do feel or hear God calling us into action we have a little battle with the flesh that the flesh usually wins. We think about how it will look, or whether or not it will work. By that time the moment of God's intersection with us and His kingdom slips away. When we obey without hesitation is when we usually experience Jesus in powerful and precious ways.
