Featured pet: Zeke, a Carolina dog with the Bloomington Animal Shelter

Zeke is one of the extra shy Carolina dogs that the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter has been working hard to socialize. He is most motivated by spray cheese and will take regular meaty treats here and there as well. He has never walked on a leash and finds it extremely scary, so ideally, he would live in a home where he has access to a yard for outside time. He has made progress: he now has a collar and can drag a leash while outside. Zeke is not especially playful with other dogs, but he does well with those that respect his nervous demeanor and let him approach on his own.
