Lily Transportation’s roots date back to 1943 when John Simourian (a first generation American) was turned down for enlistment due to a back injury.  Not to be deterred from “doing his part,” John quit his job and met with the commander of the Watertown, MA arsenal who said the military needed additional truck transport from the arsenal to the Charlestown Navy Yard.
