When a friend of mine and I had a chat in early 2022 and she asked me about my “liminal plans”, I didn’t get it. She was referring to the preparation I might want to consider making as I was making my way towards some big changes in my life. She asked if I was “prepared” for the transition, for taking the time to “properly” digest the past and look to the future. I scoffed a bit and said I was.  Turned out I wasn’t. Turned out that 2022 actually WAS the liminal space – an extended period of twists and turns where, rather than racing to the next, I began to settle in and ponder the in between. It’s been revelatory. Interesting though that this realization lands nearly ¾ of the way through the year, and is an extended lesson from a previous episode’s discussion of airports.
