The Energy of Intention

If everything is energy, and energy is spirit, then isn’t everything spiritual?

In this episode of LIMINAL, we explore the energy of intention through everything from a power washer to acupuncture. Both move energy, so what makes one experience spiritual and another ordinary? Perhaps the difference is not in the action itself, but in the intention, awareness and energy we bring to it.

We’ll explore how our words, thoughts and actions create energetic ripples that continue far beyond what we can see. We may never know where those ripples travel or when something we offer plants a seed in another person. We don’t need to control the outcome. Our responsibility is simply to become conscious of the energy we are placing into the world.

Episode 5 - The Choice Point

Liminal means threshold: the space between what has ended and what has not yet begun. It is where the unseen touches the seen, where intuitive knowing rises beneath our thoughts, and where new possibilities begin to form.

In this episode, Maggie explores the meaning of liminal space, the Tibetan Buddhist teaching of the bardo, and the choice points that appear during life’s transitions. Through personal stories of grief, transformation and healing, she reflects on the power of free will.

We cannot choose everything that happens to us, and we cannot always control our first response. But we can choose what we do next. We can move toward fear or toward love. We can deny what we know, or follow the path calling us forward.

In the first episode of LIMINAL, I share the extraordinary dream encounter that led me to Hekate.

While working deeply with my grandmother in spirit, I experienced time folding in on itself. I was both a child and the woman I am today, moving beyond words into a space of healing and soul work. As I returned to my body, I heard my grandmother’s voice clearly: “Now work with Hekate.”

I had no idea who Hekate was. And because my grandmother had been deeply Catholic, the message surprised me even more. But when I began learning about this ancient, pre-Olympian goddess, I understood why she had entered my life.

Hekate is the Queen of the Crossroads, guardian of thresholds, keeper of the keys, torchbearer, and guide through profound transformation. She does not choose the road for us. She illuminates what is true, protects the threshold, and reminds us that the power to choose lives within us.

In this episode, I explore Hekate’s ancient origins, her relationship to witchcraft, and why her energy does not feel frightening or dark to me. I believe we are continually choosing between love and fear, and I do my best to move toward love. My relationship with Hekate has become part of that practice: an invitation into discernment, sovereignty, courage, and deeper trust in my own knowing.
