The Washington Capitals are uncertain about their starting goaltender for the upcoming season. Charlie Lindgren is considered a strong contender, while the AHL affiliate Hershey Bears have promising goalies in Hunter Shepard and Clay Stevenson. Team USA selected Lindgren to represent them at the 2024 IIHF World Championship in Czechia. Additionally, the Hershey Bears had an impressive 6-1 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
