The enemy's favorite weapon against a woman who is starting to believe who God says she is? Comparison. This episode is a direct conversation about the comparison trap — social media, ministry envy, the "she has it more together than me" spiral — and the freedom that comes from staying in your lane and your story. Lisa teaches from 2 Corinthians 10 and from the real cost comparison extracts from a woman's calling.

Identity in Christ; the love of the Father. You might start every week already feeling behind — behind on the to-do list, behind on who you think you're supposed to be. This episode names that feeling and breaks it open: God's love is not a reward you earn. It is the ground you stand on. Lisa opens the "Becoming the Woman God Created You to Be" quarter with the truth every woman needs to hear before she takes another step.

In Luke 1, God chooses Mary, a humble woman from Nazareth, a town of no significance, as his wife. This highlights that God's plans often unfold through the simple and overlooked, and that humility and openness to His will allow us to participate in His divine plan. Mary's favor shows that God's grace is a gift, not something earned, and that God calls us as we are, not because of our qualifications but because of His love.
Welcome to Advent Week One. I am your host, Lisa Fahey.
Today, we begin our journey with the first week of Advent.
When I was writing Simply Advent about five years ago, I focused on virtues that can guide us in simplifying our lives and drawing closer to the Lord.
As part of the structure, I decided to dedicate days five through seven of each week to reflecting on Scripture and the Nativity story. To help us journey toward Christmas, I included a sequence of Scriptures at the end of each week, leading us step by step to Christmas Eve.
**Daily Reflection**
- How can I reflect Christ’s renewal in my life today?
- Am I growing in the Spirit’s attributes?
- What steps can I take to cultivate peace around me?
- Where can I replace fear with trust in God’s love?
As you prepare for Christmas, let this Advent be a season of hope, transformation, and peace—a time when you draw nearer to the One who fulfills every promise.
