Lisa shares some incredible stories about parents taking care of their loved ones with a disability. Blending public and private resources is a challenge. Their loved ones need support services to be safe, be part of the community, live separate from their parents, and need staff support. Costs need to be considered, and let’s not forget that the care be met with dignity and respect, not a stranger. What is available? How do we do this?
