When you know someone well you can usually predict what their next action may be or if you hear their voice you would know it was them. Same as when babies are born they spend several months in the womb and in those months they hear voices and actions that take place outside. When they are born these voices and actions become familiar to them. Is the voice of God familiar to you? Are you familiar with the actions of God? It's important that as we walk with God we learn to listen and obey.
