Award winning Canadian musicians Aviva Chernick and Joel Schwartz visit the North Country next Monday and Tuesday. They'll present a concert for this year’s Jewish Music Festival performance at Congregation Beth El in Potsdam on Monday at 7 pm, and perform Tuesday at 4 pm in SUNY Canton's Cyber Cafe.

Soulful, World Music songstress meets Classical Indian Music and Jazz bassist for this concert of traditional sounds re-imagined. The duo will celebrate Sephardic music in Judeo-Spanish and original songs in Hebrew.

Todd Moe spoke with Aviva Chernick, who lives in Toronto. She's just returned from a West Coast tour, and is eager to share some new original and traditional world music that'll be included in a new album.
