One of Jacob’s Codes says this:

Listen before deciding.

That may not sound dramatic at first.

But it can change a man’s life.

Listen before you answer your wife.
Listen before you correct your son.
Listen before you judge another man’s failure.
Listen before you make a promise your pride wants to make, but your character may have to carry.

There is strength in restraint.

There is courage in silence.

There is wisdom in letting a moment breathe before you put your name on a decision.
