Matthew 17:1-9 describes what is celebrated as the Transfiguration of Jesus. Jesus takes Peter, James, and John to a mountaintop. While they are there, Jesus is surrounded by a bright light and is joined by Moses and Elijah. The disciples are amazed and a voice calls out, “This is my Son whom I dearly love. I am very pleased with him. Listen to him! (Matthew 17:5b, Common English Bible)” Join Pastor Wayne as he shares what it means to listen to Jesus and put his commands to love at the heart of who we are.
