Just ok mystery
The story is not bad. The building of the mystery and the ultimate resolution was plausible, no mistakes in the details. I didn't connect with any of the characters, throughout the book I never got to understand who they all really were. It makes sense to me why the series by this author is connected to the location and not the characters- the author is not connected to his characters. The book wasn't terrible, I finished it, but I don't think I will read the rest of the novels by this author.
this is the greatest book, especially if you live in the new ...
this is the greatest book, especially if you live in the new bedford, cape area. Bird Island, the restaurants the detectives frequented were all familiar AS well as references to the highway killings, I have lent this book to so many people and they all love it

actually, I found the story unreadable & cannot comment on details. Abandoned it after 50 pages.
A good fun read
A captivating mystery from the outset, with characters who might have been neighbors. A good fun read.
