For our inaugural story, we're heading to Charleston, South Carolina, and one of the city's most historic, and allegedly haunted, homes: the Aiken-Rhett House.

Built in 1820 and preserved in remarkably original condition, the Aiken-Rhett House offers visitors a glimpse into Charleston's complicated past. From its grand ballrooms and art gallery to the preserved slave quarters and carriage house, the home is steeped in history. But according to many visitors, it's also steeped in something else...

Our listener Savannah shares stories of unexplained footsteps, doors opening and closing on their own, reports of a faceless woman.

Savannah also recounts her own experiences while touring the home, including an encounter in the slave quarters that left her feeling watched, and a mysterious humming sound that seemed to come from nowhere.
