Episode 3 of our 3 part series about working with a student who confides in you. You have experienced a change in a students performance, attitude, attentiveness or lack of caring. You may pick up on some cues that something is not right. They may be struggling with something. They may even come to you at let you know about the stress they may be under out side of the school environment. Our hosts will be discussing how to listen to students who confide in you. As educators, it is important to listen to students but also know when to direct the student so someone in with more training. How do you get someone else involved and help the student to continue to feel supported? They will give some suggestions on maintaining your boundary as the classroom instructor.
