🧠Theory: Before we ask any questions or set intentions we can create clarity by checking in with our body first, it takes a second. It’s the breathing in before breathing out.
Why do we do this? To see where our nervous system is at, to see if we’re hungry, distracted, cold (there is an amazing study in one of @enagoski books about the relationship between orgasms and cold feet. Ladies. Put some socks on and see… can’t hurt to investigate right? 🤷♀️
Remember your brain does not want you to do new things, or things that it thinks are dangerous (which could be starting a new business or it could be telling your partner you don’t want to spend Christmas with their family because …. Fill in the blank)
So we want to set ourselves up for success by tweaking every possible micro condition to work WITH our brain and not against them. Flow not friction.
🚀 Activation? A quick body check in. Hand on heart (skin to skin is even better if possible but don’t let perfectionism slow you down) close your eyes, take a breath and ask your body what it needs to tell you.
You will get INVALUABLE data here.
If you’re hungry, if you’re exhausted, if you’re stressed, and on the flip side? If you’re calm, connected and feeling all in? Brilliant, you have that to refer back to later when you evaluate your action steps!
