Dr. Lior Shamir is an associate professor of computer science at Kansas State University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational statistics, and data science. Part of that research also includes the use of elements from artificial intelligence and machine learning to make scientific discoveries from large and complex databases.

Col. Terry Virts (ret) served as a U.S. Air Force test fighter pilot, is a NASA veteran of two spaceflights and a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Harvard Business School. He recently directed his first film, ​One More Orbit​. His next book, ​The Art of Space Travel​, is due out in the fall of 2020.

attended Cornell University where he received his Doctor of

Veterinary Medicine degree (2006, DVM).

Dr. Leon Vanstone is Director of the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab at the University of Texas at Austin. His expertise include shock dominated flows, hypersonics, scramjets and rocket systems. Leon is currently helping to reduce cost and complexity of transit to space while increasing workforce development. Although rockets will always be necessary in space, Leon believes the future of leaving this planet lies in building space planes that "fly" to orbit.
