Luke chapter 8, verse 54, “But he put them all outside, took her by the hand and called saying, ’Little girl, arise.’“
Jairus’s daughter, in this passage of scripture, represented the delight of his heart, his hope, and his future. This represented so much for this man, even being a ruler, he humbled himself in the sight of God by falling at the feet of Jesus. You would think that a ruler is going to stand tall, erect before God, and say, “please I have a request to make for you.” No, he so desired a miracle in his own house, that he fell at the feet of Jesus, and said, “please come this is my daughter, my only daughter, she’s dying and she’s only 12 years old. She’s everything to me, would you please come.” My friends, it’s time to humble ourselves before God, cry out to Him and bring to Him our deepest needs.
It’s time to pray!
