Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History is the debut book from Vashti Harrison. Based on her popular Instagram posts from Black History Month 2017 it features 40 biographies of African American women that helped shape history. It is a 96-page paper over board book published by Little Brown Books for Young Readers.

Growing up we had family who poured into our lives. One of our aunts, Evelyn, read to us a lot. We believe that her dedication to early childhood learning gave us an edge in life. Hearing stories that piqued our imagination formed the women we are today. We have read to our own children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren over the years. But, in the midst of a pandemic, two sisters decided to share this joy of stories and reading with children everywhere.
