Regarding the Caroline proceeding. "The developer was made to conduct consultation appropriately after missing 100 people but the project ultimately still approved even after a Review & Variance appeal was filed. This is partly why there is a formal consultation on appropriate setbacks happening now."
Regarding ambulatory access. We have two ambulances for Olds. Due to the need for them to often be in Red Deer or Calgary and the surrounding area, it is common for there to not be an ambulance available when needed in town. It has been recommended if it is possible to safely travel to emerg, to do so without waiting an excessive amount of time for EMS to get back to Olds. When stated that we don't have them, this means, we don't have them IN town all the time.
