In Part 4 of 4 of my exploration into Black Catholicism in the United States of America, I use a speech by Sis Thea Bowman to examine the consequences that establishing the segregated Jim Crow Black Catholic Church has had on the Catholic liturgy in those Church communities. The inculturation of the liturgy found in the Black Catholic Church is eerily similar to what is being proposed for Amazon Catholics.
