Sermon notes Dear Grace Church, August 30, 2026 To make the most of this Lord's Day, I encourage you to read Ephesians 4:17-5:14 enough times to be familiar with the flow of pastoral thought. We will briefly summarize IA and IB, and take up verses 10-14 and the remainder of the outline. Please study the outline, pray through each point, and be able to apply verses 8-14 to the relational commands of 4:25-5:7 to build Christ's church together. As part of your preparation, I also encourage you to read the first three chapters of Hosea. The graphic is a representation of Ephesians 5:8-14 and a summary of my opening illustration. I encourage you to make good use of it. There are three pictures depicting three responses. The center portrait illustrates the humble response of faith in order to live together upon the merits of Christ in a communion of covenant love and faithfulness. The other two portraits illustrate two different responses of the same legal heart. I encourage you to consider your response to the covenant love of God in Christ.
