In 1 Peter 2:13-17 the WORD of the LORD teaches that true freedom is experienced not in pseudo autonomy but paradoxically in serving Christ for the LORD'S sake. The key to freedom is not rebellion but subjection and the desire to preserve peace and uphold justice.
