Topic: LIVE BLAMELESS!
Memory Verse: "This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God" - Genesis 6:9 NIV
Bible Text: John 1:47 NIV
47. When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”
INSPIRATION: Today, there seem to be no correlation between what people say and do or what's in their hearts. Deceit has become the new normal, even amongst believers, and it is worrisome. Whilst we may fool everyone else and get away with it, we must remember the consequences of our actions and know God rewards: "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve" (Jere 17:9-10).
Can we still have people like Nathaniel and Noah with pure motives, people with no ulterior motive or intention of deceit? People whose word is their bond? Do we still have people we can relate to without trust issues tugging at us? Can you be that one person everyone can vouch for as being honest? Do you care what others think and say of you? How about God's testimony of you? Deceitfulness has a price, it erodes trust for you and by extension, to other innocent people.
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Build trust. It bridges lots of gaps in how people relate to you and what you get accomplished.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to prioritize true character of fame and gain; help to lead a honest and transparent life, without any motive of deception. Teach me to mirror and model Christ in all that I do so that my godly virtues would bring glory to your name at all times, in Jesus name.
