Cass and Lawson from Big Wheels Joined us Live From The Backyard to share their latest single. From the moment they started playing I could tell straight away that these guys are true professionals. They're both incredible performers with voices to match. Unfortunately some of this pod did not record due to technical difficulties. We still had a great chat and it was a pleasure getting to know them both and I highly recommend seeing them live.

It was so great to have Chris on the podcast. We bonded over many things including our beards. I loved hearing his perspective on pursuing music with a family, as that's exactly what I want to do. I also believe its a huge thing stopping many people from having a crack. Chris is living proof that you can do both. It was a pleasure chatting to him and hearing his music.

Levi Maxwell and Adam James both returned to the podcast and together we all had a really fun, challenging, and thought provoking chat. We clash on a few ideas and offer up our reasons. I love discussion like these it helps us all grow, and stops me from being so firm in what I think is right. We get into songwriting, gigs, and even chat about Jesus for a little while. I really enjoy chatting to these two and it's been so cool watching them both grow from a distance.

Sam McGovern stopped in on his way back to WA. We had a lot of fun. He walked in, hungry, cooked some eggs on my stove, then we cracked into his music and the podcast. We challenged each other on our writing practices, we talked about backing ourselves, and more importantly we had a good laugh. The energy he brings is infectious and I found his self belief contagious. I learned a lot from this conversation and I think you might too.

Idan (a.k.a. Schmone) is an incredible musician. He blew us away with the skill and complexity of his music. Both having served in the military, we found some common ground quite quickly and went on to share some great stories.  Be sure to check out the clips on YouTube if you like what you hear.

Mark Crotti has recently returned from his European tour supporting Mark Wilkinson. He's also just moved his life up to the Northern Rivers and we're so lucky to have him. Mark has one of the most unique voices I have come across. It's calming and beautiful. It was a pleasure capturing his music in our backyard that felt like a combination of a set from Lord Of The Rings, and an Indonesian rainforest. I love doing this and I've found another mate in Mark. someone to Jam with, bounce ideas off of, and just talk smack in general.

Tom Harrington joined us before his last show on tour with Alivan Blu. He writes beautiful music with pedals, loops, and what seems like a bit of magic. We got along straight away and had a really good chat about music and life. I've found a mate in Tom and it was a pleasure having him on live from the backyard. I hope you enjoy the conversation.
