Italy: - I have visited Italy many times: Rome, Milan, Turin, Tuscany, Florence, Naples, Capri, etc. The people generally have been warm and friendly and the food, of course, is wonderful. I have been to Rome but sadly not Venice. It is very unlikely that I could afford to retire to either place.
