This week on Live & Linking, I’m chatting with the energetic and passionate Jamie O'Neill about the upcoming Business Fest Southwest.

Jamie, with his solid background in the events industry, is the brains behind Business Fest Southwest, happening on 2 April 2025 at Exeter’s West Point Arena. 

This event is all about bringing together businesses from Bristol to Penzance and making some serious waves.

Jamie is super confident and passionate about this region. With a third of the UK’s SMEs in the Southwest, he believes it’s the perfect time to host a festival that unites the business community.

We also tackled some tough questions head-on. Jamie assured us that even with past event cancellations and the chaos of COVID-19, they’ve got a strong plan in place. They're prepared for anything – including offering full refunds if the unexpected happens.

Jamie promises it’s not just your typical networking event. Think top-notch speakers, innovative features, and a “festival” vibe. Although he’s keeping some surprises up his sleeve, it’s clear this event is going to be buzzing with energy and opportunities for meaningful connections.

Jamie laid out how you can get involved, whether you’re a solo entrepreneur or a large company. They offer everything from entry-level stands to bigger spaces, making it accessible for everyone.

And the marketing magic is already rolling out. They’re using a mix of organic growth and paid advertising across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to get the word out.
