Formed in Washington, DC by high school friends Bobby Atoms and Brian & Mick Maverick in high school, The Nuclears quickly made fans out of such rock royalty as Mike Watt (Minutemen, The Stooges) & Daryl Jennifer (Bad Brains) before before being awarded the title of “Best Band in D.C.” by Little Steven Van Zandt’s (Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band) Underground Garage. After moving to the heart of New York City’s underground rock scene in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the addition of shirtless, wild-man vocalist Nick Vivid (Drag Citizen) and powerhouse drummer Geoff Hug (NYCSmoke), the Nuclears five-piece line-up has solidified into one of the best live acts in New York City whose raw energy is harnessed and streamlined on the debut LP by this young and hungry act.
