Most of us have pre-conceived notions of what we feel alcohol dependence looks like, including Karla Adkins. At only age 36 she found herself in the hospital dying of liver failure, from what she thought was a socially accepted coping mechanism. Her journey to rock bottom inspired our conversation about what truly drives so many to drink, and how we can change conversations around alcohol.
