Girija Devi is a saint who was originally blessed with material wealth, but despite this luxury, she did not desire the things of the world. After the death of her two sons, she had entered a state of somberness, and upon hearing the Shreemad Bhagavatam, she knew that Krishna was the one her heart had been longing for. Thus, her journey to the Lotus Feet of the Lord began as she moved to the holy city of Vrindavan.
