My dear brothers and sisters, in the book of James chapter 3 verse 13, we are reminded of the importance of wisdom and understanding in our daily lives. The scripture tells us, "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom."
We are called to be wise and understanding individuals, not just in theory, but in our actions and how we live our lives. True wisdom is not just about acquiring knowledge or having intellectual prowess, but it is about living a life of integrity, humility, and love. It is about using our knowledge and understanding to benefit others and to bring glory to God.
When we are truly wise and understanding, we will exhibit these qualities in our daily interactions with others. We will be patient, kind, and compassionate towards those around us. We will seek to build others up and encourage them in their journey of faith. We will use our words to uplift and inspire, rather than tear down and hurt.
Wisdom is not just about what we know, but how we apply that knowledge in our lives. It is about making choices that honor God and reflect His love to the world. It is about living a life of integrity and honesty, even when it may not be the popular choice.
So let us strive to be wise and understanding individuals, not just for our own benefit, but for the benefit of those around us. Let us show our wisdom through our actions and deeds, and let us do so with humility and love. May we be a shining example of what it means to be truly wise in the eyes of God. Amen.
