Two kinds of giving can reflect two different kinds of hearts—duty-driven or heart-felt. The duty-driven giver feels reluctant or under compulsion from the outside. The heartfelt giver’s greatest push comes from the inside, not the outside. Both types of givers see the truth of giving coming from Scripture, but the heart-felt giver also loves the truth of giving. What is the corresponding motivation for big, bold, heartfelt giving?
