Welcome to episode 28 of the Living in Lyon's Gate Podcast. The votes have been counted and the results are in! Yours truly was elected to a 3-year term! Yay! More about that in a minute. The HOA annual meeting started at 6PM last night and we were short 10 ballots from reaching our 10% quorum. It was decided to wait until 7:05 since some may not have known about the 6PM start time. I'm glad we waited. 

Thanks to all of those who voted and to those who took the time to come and vote at the last minute so we could reach our 10% quorum. Thank you to all of you who voted for me, making it possible to serve the full 3-year term. Here's the vote breakdown:

Julia Holland joins me in this episode. Julia is the City Property Management on-site General Manager for Lyon's Gate. We talked about this Wednesday evening's HOA Board of Director's vote and the importance of voting either in person at that meeting or on-line before then. Please vote so we can reach our required 10% quorum, which is about 196 votes. And don't forget, yours truly is running for the BOD.

We also talked about the Saturday, December 7th Winter Wonderland. Come play in the snow, enjoy the food trucks, and meet some of your neighbors. The festivities begin at 4 PM.

Welcome to episode 26 of the Living in Lyon's Gate Podcast. This episode is a high-level recap of the November 20th HOA Board of Director's public meeting. This was a good meeting with good interaction with those in attendance. 

I also spend a little bit of time talking about social media and the importance of not formulating opinions based on what we read or hear on social media. Attending the HOA General Board meetings will go a long way in diffusing wrong impressions that can be left by social media because the official source for information is in those meetings in the form of the HOA Board of Directors and City Property Management and they are more than willing to field questions and dialog with the rest of us.

Welcome to episode 21 of the Living in Lyon's Gate Podcast. Susan joins me again in this episode as we remind you of the important HOA general board meeting scheduled for tomorrow night at 7PM at the clubhouse. My wife joins me on this episode. Yay! She went to last night's HOA special meeting (I was unable to attend) and the purpose of that special meeting was to discuss the six property management RFP respondents and narrow the group of six down to two. Susan joins me to talk about that meeting, where the six were actually narrowed down to three and those three will be narrowed down to one winner at the next general board meeting.

the October general meeting has been rescheduled from Wednesday, October 23 to Wednesday, October 30th due to scheduling conflicts on the board. There will be no HOA board meeting on Wednesday, the 23rd. Please note that change if you were planning to attend.
