Gabriel Podwika speaks at 18. 01. 2026The Bible is more than just a book. What other book has influenced so many nations, cultures, and laws? What other book has caused so many kings and rulers to rise up against its readers? What other book was written over the course of more than 1,000 years by 40 different authors from different occupations, yet its message remains perfectly the same?
It is not just any book; it is the living Word of God. It is God Himself. Apostle John began his Gospel by saying that the Word was with God, and the Word was God and it came down to this earth. The Word is Jesus Christ.
Notice while reading the Bible from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, God has always called His people to know His Word and to live by it, and this has never changed. As Jesus says in John chapter 15, we are called to dwell in Him—to be connected to Him, to know Him, and to bear fruit. God is the one who prunes us and helps us grow and bear fruit. But can we do this on our own? Never. Today’s world calls us to trust only ourselves, yet God calls us to humble ourselves and to trust Him alone. We can see this in lives of Abraham, Moses and king David.
Moreover, in this world full of the enemy’s traps, there is only one way to survive—and that is to live in the truth, in the Word, to live in Jesus. Then our identity, our strength, and our everything will be found in Him alone as we will stand on the solid rock.
Today I’d like to challenge you:
1. If you have never come to know the Word, Jesus Christ, do it today. Pray and ask Him, in simple words, to come into your life because you want to know Him. In Him, you will find joy, peace, love, and so much more.
2. Start your everyday with 30 minutes of dwelling in God’s Word. You can read for the full 30 minutes, or you can read just a few verses and then reflect on them. Your life WILL be changed.
