What would it mean to you to be able to do what you want, where you want, when you want, and with who you want?
For today’s guest, that’s what freedom looks like for him.
Alexander Mullan is a Canadian living in Amsterdam. He is an ex-hockey player turned personal trainer turned copywriter turned self-proclaimed wizard of wordcraft, who travels at will, reads as much fantasy fiction as he can get his hands on. Added to these, he is deeply involved in bringing intentional growth-oriented use of psychedelics into the public eye.
In this episode, Alexander talks about how much of a contrarian he is, always doing things he wanted to do, going against everyone’s expectations. And he gives perspectives to this side of him that we can all learn from. When you have that self-awareness about yourself and that understanding of the world around you, you likely play the game of life on your own rules, and that’s something exciting to know about. He’s a copywriter. He’s giving us tips on how to show up on your social media platforms, create your content, and what content to create that resonates with your audience. Putting out fitness information can only get you so far. It’s about putting some personality into what you share out there that people will relate more with you. Why he thinks your marketing should be in alignment with your personal beliefs and how you want to be sold to is one interesting topic he touched on. He is big on mentorship, and he shares the three most important takeaways he gets from having one. He believes in duality to everything and here, he sheds light on the seemingly bad drugs mainstream media is negatively painting out.
“I think the biggest thing someone could do to improve content is to actually use call to actions. It's one of the things that most don't realize when they are either transitioning online or first trying to create content is like, you actually have to tell people what you want them to do.” - Alexander Mullan
