Living the greatest commandments | Mark Searle | THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

Listen Later

In today’s sermon we explore 1 Peter 4:7–8 and the call to “maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.” Through a personal story and practical teaching, we’re reminded that we can’t love deeply or consistently by willpower alone—we love because Jesus first loved us.This message looks at:Why the church community is the practice ground for learning to loveHow “deep” love is also “consistent” love (not switched on and off)What it means that love covers a multitude of sinsFixing our eyes on Jesus for a renewed heart and a fresh overflow of graceIf you’re feeling worn down by relationships, carrying bitterness, or longing to love others better, this is an encouragement to come back to Jesus—who forgives, restores, and fills us again with love through the Holy Spirit.
