Bad Recording
I've been an Audible customer for some time but I can't recall listening to a worse recording of an otherwise good book. As I was listening, I thought I must have selected the wrong file size. I went back to My Library and realized that I choose the best quality available.
I recommend the book but find the recording a bit hard to take. Sounds like it was done with tin cans.
Good but 1999
The audio options are only 1 & 2 - so the author sounds like Daffy Duck. The content was worth the member price. Given that it was released in 1999 the author discusses automated checking as if it were new (which it was in 99), but doesn't mention things like TiVo (watch just the things you want, when you want to and without commercials). I still learned from it, and don't regret the purchase.
Not "Evergreen"
Would you try another book from Elaine St. James and/or Elaine St. James?
Step back in time to newspaper subscriptions and walkmen. This is so dated. If you are captivated by sock washing techniques, and can enjoy someone stating the obvious over and over again this peek into a life although "simple" holds no depth.
Would you ever listen to anything by Elaine St. James again?

Would you be willing to try another one of Elaine St. Jamess performances?
No.
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It would have made a fine podcast, perhaps promoting something current.

Has made me concerned that Audible would allow something so outdated to be purchased for full price.
Faulty and rubbish
The recoding was fuzzy so I didnt even finish it .The narrator spoke far too quick and had nothing new to say. Total waste of money
