Over the past few Wednesdays, we have been looking at the Word of God as a story that forms our lives. James K.A. Smith says that we "tell ourselves stories in order to live." When we understand our lives as story-formed, we begin to realize how the very stories of scripture shape our lives over and against the stories we (and the stories of the world) attempt to shape us.
Piercing Word was the capstone of our series as they performed the Emmaus Way as a contemporary drama that looked at the whole story of scripture. They were kind enough to share their thoughts with us in this podcast. If you would like to give to their ministry and support their ongoing work, you can donate here.
If you are looking for tools for hearing the scripture, check out the discovery bible method as a simple tool for teaching and reading scripture.
