How do we keep our lamp burning and remain faithful, watchful and prepared while waiting for Jesus?

In Part 3 of Keep Your Lamp Burning While Waiting for Jesus, within our Women of Faith series, we turn to lasting fruit—what it means to abide in Christ, remain faithful through pruning and preparation, and allow God to produce fruit in us and through us.

Sometimes the fruit is inward: deeper dependence on God, surrender, obedience, love, perseverance, courage and spiritual growth.

And sometimes that fruit becomes outward: what God has developed in us begins to serve, encourage and bless others, pointing people back to Jesus and bringing glory to Him.

But what happens when the door you prepared for doesn't open?

In this episode, I share more of my own worship journey—years of preparation, closed doors, learning to overcome fear, the unexpected beginning of Living Water: The Blessing, and how I eventually began seeing fruit in places I hadn't expected.

Looking back, I realised:

I thought I knew what I was preparing for. I didn't. But the preparation wasn't wasted.

We also talk about faithfulness and stewardship while waiting. Being faithful doesn't mean saying yes to every good opportunity. It means remaining close to Jesus, discerning what He is asking of us in this season, and faithfully stewarding what He has already placed in our hands—our relationship with Him, our family, work, relationships, ministry and everyday responsibilities.

As we wait for Jesus, may we remain faithful, watchful and prepared. May we keep abiding, growing, serving and putting His Word into practice—not relying on our own strength, but on His grace.

Because fruitfulness isn't about the size of our platform or how successful we appear.

It's about what Christ produces in us and through us as we remain in Him.

And whatever fruit He produces, may it point people back to Jesus and bring glory to the Father.

In this new Women of Faith series, Episode 4 tells the story of the Samaritan woman at the well—a woman rejected and unseen, yet chosen by Jesus to become the first woman evangelist.

In this first episode of the Women of Faith series, we look at the story of the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5). For twelve years she suffered, spent all she had on doctors, and was considered unclean. Yet in her desperation and persistence, she pressed through the crowd, touched the cloak of Jesus, and was instantly healed.

Her story reminds us that faith requires action, prayer requires persistence, and God responds to bold expectancy. Even when His answers don’t come the way we expect, He is still sovereign, faithful, and always working for our good.

I also share a personal testimony of my late father’s healing and baptism — a powerful reminder that God hears our cries, turns ashes into beauty, and brings life where there once was despair.
