Weekly conversations (and individual podcasts) with Danielle, Katya and Kim (and friends) about topics ranging from spirituality, to meditation, to fears and worries, and other subjects in between.
Today we spoke about depression. About the different types of depression, how in Ayurvedic terms it can be a Vata or Kapha depression, and how this can be useful to know how best to respond to it.
We spoke of the importance of not pushing it away, not brushing it under the carpet, not denying it, or judging yourself as lacking or failing in any way. Of acknowledging it, and allowing it to be what it is, being tender and loving towards yourself, but at the same time not wallowing in it or being attracted to remaining depressed, or using it to manipulate or chain others to you.  
We talked about the truthfulness that can emerge through depression, and the fact that something sacred can arise when all is stripped away into silence.
