January 22, 2023 . . .

I Peter 4:7-11 tells us how to live as if the end is near; the time when Jesus Christ will return and judgment will be given. When you read these verses, you will see instructions on how you should be living your life to give glory to God. Remember, God’s time is different from our time. We all have an end to our life and it could be closer than you think. Peter says to be serious and sober, be watchful, and be purpose driven. We should, above all, love one another (see John 13:35 where Jesus reminds us). Be hospitable without grumbling. Know that your spiritual gifts are meant to be shared with others. Serve others. Be the best you that you can be with whatever God has given you. Glorify God wherever you go and in whatever you do. Let God put the words in your mouth to share the good news of Jesus Christ. If the end is near, are you right with Jesus Christ? Does the life that you are living right now bring glory to God and to Jesus Christ? Friends, let me tell you, if you need to make changes in how you are living, the time is NOW!
